Good Chemistry - A Review of Boston University Chemistry

Good Chemistry - A Review of Boston University ChemistryBoston University Chemistry is a fun and interesting course that teaches students the basics of chemistry. You will learn all about the chemistry process from boiling point to freezing point, atoms and molecules. The course allows you to compare the two methods of combustion, which is how the human body works and how the body reacts to external stimuli. Although the lecture is fun, the classroom sessions are not.The lecture is a bit boring as the instructor usually asks the class to read over notes after each lecture. It makes the students feel like they are in a high school chemistry class and I always found this a bit ironic. Even the chalk board I saw has lines that go all the way across the board. Yes, it has the words 'We are interested in the presence of carbon monoxide' on it, but at what level of detail? The lecture is very boring and you should just skip that part because it is so boring. One thing that makes this course so boring is the instructor is giving out the wrong answers. I have actually done some tests by myself and figured out more of the problems than the instructor did!The labs are good too. They all consist of real problems to solve and different subjects to apply the chemistry in. I really enjoy taking labs and was impressed with the information given at the end of the lab. There is not a lot of material to learn but the chemistry is fun. There are multiple labs each having its own problems to be solved. I enjoyed getting used to different types of experiments that I was used to with chemistry. I still needed some help and after the fourth lab I was ready to start solving problems. As I had done all the labs, I thought I would try a bit harder at solving them. The labs usually involved different problems, different solutions and different topics. The labs were great because it was like doing a real chemistry test. Each lab had a problem that had to be solved, a solution to the problem and then another set of problems that would have to be solved. So I had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to solve the different problems. After lab, I was ready to do some tests and make some mistakes. My questions for the tests are, 'What chemical formula is above water?' 'What is a hydrogen ion?' and 'Is oxygen really heavier than hydrogen?'
